Day 8 to Day 13 photos
Here's an average 8 day old Dalmatian puppy. This
puppy was given a 'Red' yarn collar..... so this is "Red boy."
Bottle feeding was needed for 2 of the puppies
for a few days, but "Dark Pink" girl needed extra for a week.
Cute to look at, but very tiring for a breeder who has to get up, around
the clock, every 2 or 3 hours !

is obviously petite compared her 2 brothers on either side of her. Day 10.

to sleep with her babies. 10 days old.
Mom will now leave a little 'collar' alone, so the puppies are assigned a color and given a yarn collar. It's easier to tell them apart in photos now!
Females: Dark Pink, Medium Pink, Purple, and Lime
Males: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Orange

January brought 10 degree weather and a heat lamp
was used to keep the whelping box warm.... between 85 and 95 degrees. The
photos turn red !
At almost 2 week of age, the pups have really
grown! They make attempts to walk, eyes are opening, and some can hear.
But mostly, they eat and sleep! Day 13
